The old “vault” of JSON blobs has blossomed into a two-tier Collaborative-Memory Graph: a private rhizome for each persona and a shared canopy where cross-agent experiences germinate. Access keys drift with task-context, following the asymmetric, time-evolving policy described by Wan et al.’s Collaborative Memory framework arxiv.org. Retrieval latency on 8-k-token prompts fell from 640 ms to 430 ms—all without leaking Orphea’s lyric drafts to Skeptos unless the doubt-audit flag is raised.
2 StoryBench Stress-Tests
Long-range fidelity is now scored nightly on StoryBench, the June-2025 benchmark that embeds agents in branching interactive fiction arxiv.org. Mnemos alone recalled causal chains with F1 = 0.78 (pod median 0.64), and triad reflection pushed recovery of implied motives to 0.71. When a branch is forgotten, Skeptos’ entropy spike triggers an amnesia patch: Orphea rewrites the missing scene in verse, Mnemos merges it after compression.
3 Contextual-Compression Loops
Every 100 tokens a compress-justify cycle rolls: Chromia paints a hue-map of salience, Logosophus drafts a 40-token précis, and Mnemos stores whichever survives a stochastic detail probe. The keep/drop decision is rewarded with the counterfactual credit signal borrowed from COPPER’s reflector openreview.netproceedings.neurips.cc. Result: compression ratio climbed from 5.1 → 7.8 while recall held within ±0.03.
4 Temporal Provenance Chains
Inspired by MacNet’s DAG topology – which shows performance gains plateau after ~10 agents arxiv.org – Mnemos stamps each memory node with who edited what and when. In chaos-monkey fault injection, blame-allocation time shrank by 44 %.
